She is a member of the Hayasaka family, who have served the Shinomiya family for generations, gaining their trust. She wears blue colored contacts. She is one of the main supporting characters in the anime and manga series Kaguya-sama: Love Is War.

Ai Hayasaka is a loyal, versatile, intelligent, and resourceful assistant who supports Kaguya Shinomiya in her high school life and romantic endeavors. She is also socially adept, fashionable, and yearns for a normal teenage experience.
Ai was born into the Hayasaka family, a clan of servants who have been loyal to the Shinomiya family for centuries. She was raised to be a perfect valet for Kaguya, the heiress of the Shinomiya Group. She was trained in various skills, such as martial arts, hacking, cooking, and acting. She was also taught to suppress her emotions and opinions, and to always obey Kaguya’s orders.

Ai respects Kaguya’s feelings for Shirogane, and tries to help her confess her love. Ai considers Kaguya as her most important person, and would do anything for her.
- Miyuki Shirogane: Kaguya’s love interest and the student council president. Ai is indifferent and respectful to Shirogane, and recognizes his intelligence and leadership. She also acknowledges his feelings for Kaguya, and sometimes helps him get closer to her. She does not have any romantic interest in him, and thinks he is too plain and boring for her taste. She also finds him annoying and pathetic, and sometimes mocks and sabotages him.
- Chika Fujiwara: Kaguya’s friend and the student council secretary. Ai is wary and annoyed by Chika, and thinks she is a troublemaker and a nuisance.
