Ainz Ooal Gown is a selfish, paranoid, and manipulative person who only cares about himself and his guild. He is ruthless, cold, and pragmatic, willing to kill anyone who opposes him or threatens his interests. He is also arrogant, prideful, and ambitious, aiming to become the supreme ruler of the new world and make his guild name eternal. He is not above using deception, intimidation, and violence to achieve his goals.

Ainz Ooal Gown was originally a human named Suzuki Satoru, a salaryman who lived a lonely and mundane life in a dystopian society. He found solace and joy in playing YGGDRASIL, where he made friends and formed the guild Ainz Ooal Gown with other players who shared his passion for role-playing as heteromorphic races. He was deeply attached to his guild and the NPCs he and his friends created, and considered them as his family.

However, as time passed, most of his guild members left the game due to various reasons, leaving him as the only active player. He felt abandoned and betrayed by his friends, and became bitter and resentful. He also became obsessed with preserving the legacy of his guild and the memories of his friends, and refused to let anyone touch or harm his guild base and NPCs.

When he was transported to the new world, he was transformed into an undead overlord, a skeletal being with no emotions. He also inherited the personality and alignment of his character, which was extremely evil and negative.
