She plays a major role in the story as one of the strongest and most influential hunters in the world, as well as Jinwoo’s romantic partner.
Cha Hae-In's Personality
Cha Hae-In is a compassionate, diligent, meticulous, shy, and loyal person. She cares deeply about the lives of those around her, especially her guildmates and her family. She is always ready to help others in need, even if it means putting herself in danger. She is also very dedicated to her job as a hunter, and constantly trains to improve her sword skills. She is not satisfied with being one of the best, but strives to be the best.
Cha Hae-In was born with a unique ability to smell mana, which is the source of power for hunters and monsters. However, this ability was more of a curse than a blessing for her, as mana smelled foul to her. She had to endure the unpleasant odor whenever she was near other hunters or monsters, which made her feel isolated and uncomfortable. She also had to hide her ability from others, as it could expose her to danger or discrimination.
Cha Hae-In awakened as a hunter when she was a teenager, and soon discovered that she had a talent for swordsmanship. She joined the Hunters Guild, one of the most prestigious guilds in Korea, and quickly rose to the rank of S-Rank, the highest rank possible. She became the Vice-Guild Master of the guild, and earned the respect and admiration of her peers. She also gained the epithet of “The Dancer”, due to her graceful and swift sword movements.
Cha Hae-In’s life changed when she met Sung Jinwoo, the protagonist of the story and the only hunter who did not smell bad to her. She was instantly drawn to him, and felt a connection that she had never felt before. She also sensed that he was hiding something, and wanted to know more about him. She joined him in the Jeju Island Raid, a dangerous mission to eliminate a nest of giant ants, and witnessed his incredible power and charisma. She also experienced his kindness and generosity, as he saved her life and gave her a gift.
Cha Hae-In developed romantic feelings for Jinwoo, and confessed to him after the raid. Jinwoo accepted her feelings, and they started dating. Cha Hae-In was overjoyed, and felt that she had found her true happiness. She supported Jinwoo in his battles against the Monarchs, the main antagonists of the story, and fought alongside him. She also became pregnant with his child, and gave birth to a son named Sung Suho.
Cha Hae-In’s personality did not change much after becoming a mother, but she became more protective and nurturing. She retired from hunting, and focused on raising her son and taking care of her husband. She also maintained her friendship with her former guildmates, and occasionally visited them. She was proud of her family, and loved them with all her heart.
