Miya Atsumu's Personality

Miya Atsumu is a carefree, confident, and condescending person who usually has a lazy smile on his face. He enjoys provoking people and giving offhand compliments. He can be quite selfish and stubborn at times, and does not listen to others very well. He is also very competitive and hates losing, especially to Kageyama.
Miya Atsumu grew up in Hyogo Prefecture with his twin brother Osamu. They both loved volleyball since they were young, and joined the Yako Junior High volleyball club. They were inspired by the Little Giant, who played in the same prefecture as them. They admired his skills and wanted to become like him.
Miya Atsumu developed his exceptional setting skills by practicing with his brother and watching videos of professional players. He also honed his serving skills, which became his trademark. He could perform various types of serves, such as jump floaters, jump spikes, and hybrids. He was able to manipulate the ball's trajectory and speed with ease, making it hard for the opponents to receive.
Miya Atsumu enrolled in Inarizaki High, one of the powerhouse schools in the nation. He became the starting setter for the team, and was given the number 7 jersey. He formed a strong connection with his spikers, especially his brother and Aran Ojiro, the ace. He was able to bring out the best in them with his precise and creative tosses. He also became the captain of the team in his third year.
Miya Atsumu was invited to the All-Japan Youth Intensive Training Camp, where he met Kageyama for the first time. He was intrigued by Kageyama's talent and personality, and challenged him to a setter duel. He wanted to prove that he was the better setter, and also to learn from Kageyama. He developed a rivalry and a friendship with him, and often called him by his first name.
