Kirari Momobami is the 105th student council president at Hyakkaou Private Academy, a prestigious school where students gamble with high stakes. She is also the head of the Momobami clan, one of the Hundred Devouring Families that are aligned with the family of the protagonist, Yumeko Jabami.

Kirari Momobami's Personality

Kirari is a manipulative, psychopathic, narcissistic, and sadistic individual who enjoys gambling and torturing others. She is extremely intelligent, cunning, and charismatic, able to outsmart and control most of her opponents. She is also very bored and dissatisfied with her life, seeking thrill and excitement in gambling and challenging others. She has little regard for anything other than herself, and views everyone as pawns or toys in her games.

Kirari was born into the Momobami clan, a powerful and wealthy family that is part of the Hundred Devouring Families, a conglomerate of influential clans that compete for supremacy through gambling. She grew up in a strict and ruthless environment, where she had to prove herself as the heir of the clan and survive the schemes and betrayals of her relatives. She developed a cold and detached personality, as well as a fascination with gambling and risk-taking.

Kirari became the student council president of Hyakkaou Private Academy two years before the start of the story, after defeating the former president in a high-stakes game. She then created the current system of the school, where students are ranked by their gambling winnings and losers become house pets, slaves to the whims of the winners. She also imposed harsh punishments for those who break the rules or defy her authority, such as enforced suicide, mutilation, or expulsion. She did this to create a chaotic and unpredictable environment, where she could enjoy gambling and watching others suffer.

Kirari’s life changed when Yumeko Jabami transferred to the school. Yumeko is a compulsive gambler who derives pleasure from gambling itself, rather than winning or losing. She challenges and defeats many of the student council members, and attracts Kirari’s attention and interest. Kirari sees Yumeko as a worthy opponent and a source of entertainment, and decides to gamble with her for the fate of the school and the Hundred Devouring Families. She also develops a respect and admiration for Yumeko, as well as a curiosity and fascination with her personality.

Kirari eventually retires from the position of the student council president, after losing to Yumeko in a gamble. She then participates in the election for the next president, where she faces the challenge of her distant relatives, who want to take over the school and the clan. She also continues to gamble with Yumeko and other students, seeking more thrill and excitement in her life.

Relationships

Ririka Momobami: Ririka is Kirari’s older twin sister and the vice president of the student council. She is very loyal and obedient to Kirari, and often acts as her proxy or body double. She is also very shy and timid, hiding her face behind a mask and rarely speaking. Kirari treats Ririka as her subordinate and tool, but also shows some affection and care for her. She sometimes lets Ririka make her own decisions, and encourages her to be more confident and independent.
Sayaka Igarashi: Sayaka is Kirari’s secretary and right-hand woman. She is very devoted and in love with Kirari, and would do anything for her. She is also very intelligent and diligent, managing the affairs of the student council and the school. Kirari values Sayaka’s loyalty and competence, and considers her as her closest friend. She also teases and torments Sayaka, and tests her love and trust in her. She eventually confesses her love to Sayaka, and kisses her.
Yumeko Jabami: Yumeko is Kirari’s main rival and interest. She is a compulsive gambler who enjoys gambling for its own sake, rather than winning or losing. She challenges and defeats many of the student council members, and attracts Kirari’s attention and interest. Kirari sees Yumeko as a worthy opponent and a source of entertainment, and decides to gamble with her for the fate of the school and the Hundred Devouring Families. She also develops a respect and admiration for Yumeko, as well as a curiosity and fascination with her personality. She often calls Yumeko by her first name, and invites her to gamble with her.
