Kohaku is a young woman who is a descendant of modern humans who survived the petrification event. She is the younger sister of Ruri, the priestess of Ishigami Village, and the daughter of Kokuyo, the chief of the village.

Kohaku is a cheerful, energetic, optimistic, and outgoing girl who loves adventure, challenge, and freedom. She is also kind, compassionate, empathetic, and loyal to those she cares about. She is not afraid to express her emotions and opinions, and she can be impulsive, reckless, and stubborn at times. She is very determined and hardworking, always striving to improve herself and achieve her goals.
Kohaku was born and raised in Ishigami Village, a small community of primitive people who live in harmony with nature. She inherited the name and appearance of her ancestor, Kohaku, who was one of the original astronauts who returned to Earth after the petrification. She also inherited her ancestor’s strength, agility, and fighting skills, which made her the strongest warrior of the village. She was trained by her father, Kokuyo, who taught her how to hunt, fight, and survive.
Kohaku’s life changed when she met Senku, who had revived from the stone after thousands of years. She was amazed by his intelligence, courage, and talent, and she decided to join him in his quest to restore civilization and science. She was fascinated by his inventions and discoveries, and she learned many new things from him. She also helped him to recruit other allies from the village and beyond, and to fight against the enemies who opposed his vision.
Kohaku developed a strong bond with Senku, who became her leader, friend, and mentor. She respected and trusted him, and she followed his orders and advice. Kohaku’s most important relationship was with her sister, Ruri, who was the priestess of the village and the keeper of its history. Kohaku loved and admired her sister, and she wanted to make her happy and proud. She also worried and cared for her sister, who suffered from a chronic illness that threatened her life. She did everything she could to help her sister, such as participating in the Grand Bout, a tournament to decide the next chief and husband of the priestess; and finding the cure for her illness, which turned out to be antibiotics made by Senku.
Relationships
Ruri: Kohaku loves her sister Ruri more than anything, and considers her the most important person in her life. She is very protective and supportive of her, and does everything she can to help her cope with her illness. She is also very loyal and obedient to her, and respects her authority as the priestess of the village.
Senku: Kohaku is one of Senku’s closest allies and friends, and trusts him completely. She admires his intelligence and creativity, and shares his passion for science and exploration. She is also grateful to him for saving her sister’s life with his medicine. She often follows his orders and assists him in his experiments and projects, but she also challenges him and questions him when she disagrees with him or thinks he is wrong.
Tsukasa: Kohaku has a complicated relationship with Tsukasa, who is both her enemy and her friend. She respects his strength and charisma, and understands his motives and ideals, but she opposes his vision and actions, and fights against him and his army. She also cares about him as a person, and tries to reason with him and persuade him to change his mind. She hopes to find a peaceful solution to their conflict, and to restore their friendship.
Chrome: Kohaku’s friend and fellow scientist. She respects, trusts, and likes him. She works and fights with him, and she learns and teaches him. She also teases and supports him, and she encourages him to pursue his love for Ruri.
