Meliodas is the captain of the titular group of warriors, former leader of the Ten Commandments, the older brother of Zeldris, the eldest son of the Demon King, and the lover (later husband) of Elizabeth Liones.

Meliodas's Personality

Meliodas is a loyal, cheerful, and courageous leader who cares deeply for his friends and allies. He is also playful, flirtatious, and sometimes perverted, especially towards Elizabeth. He has a strong sense of justice and honor, and will not hesitate to fight against anyone who threatens the peace and happiness of others. He is also very forgiving and compassionate, even towards his former enemies.

Meliodas was born as the eldest son of the Demon King, the ruler of the Demon Clan and the most powerful being in the world. He inherited his father’s power of darkness and his commandment of love, which made anyone who harbored hatred towards him lose their strength and will. He was also the leader of the Ten Commandments, a group of elite warriors who served the Demon King and waged war against the other races.

However, Meliodas grew tired of the endless violence and bloodshed, and began to question his father’s motives and actions. Elizabeth was cursed with reincarnation, which made her reborn as a different human every time she died, but also made her regain her memories and die again after meeting Meliodas. This cycle repeated for over 3000 years, and Meliodas witnessed the death of his beloved countless times, which caused him immense pain and sorrow.

Meliodas eventually formed the Seven Deadly Sins, a group of powerful and notorious knights who served the Kingdom of Liones. He became the captain and the Dragon’s Sin of Wrath, and wielded the Demon Sword Lostvayne, a sacred treasure that could create clones of himself. He also opened a tavern called the Boar Hat, where he met the current incarnation of Elizabeth, a princess of Liones who sought his help to stop the corrupted Holy Knights who staged a coup against her father, the king.

Meliodas and the Seven Deadly Sins embarked on many adventures and battles, and gradually uncovered the secrets behind the Holy War, the curses, and the revival of the Ten Commandments, who were his former comrades and enemies. He also faced his father, who possessed his younger brother Zeldris and later his own body, and tried to take over the world with his power. Meliodas had to overcome his inner demons and his past traumas, and unlock his true power and potential, in order to protect his friends and his lover, and to break the curses that bound them.

Elizabeth Liones: His wife and the love of his life. He met her 3000 years ago as a goddess and a demon, and they defied their parents and their races for their love. They were cursed by their parents, and he had to watch her die and reincarnate repeatedly. He never gave up on her, and helped her regain her memories and her powers. He married her after breaking the curses, and they had a son.
Zeldris: His younger brother and his former enemy. He was loyal to their father, the Demon King, and hated Meliodas for betraying him and choosing Elizabeth. He fought against him several times, but also cared for him as a brother. He joined forces with him to stop their father, who possessed his body. He reconciled with him, and married Gelda, a vampire and his lover.
Ban: His best friend and his comrade. He is an immortal human and a member of the Seven Deadly Sins. He met him when he tried to steal his sword, and they became friends and partners. They shared a common goal of breaking their curses and saving their lovers. They teased and joked with each other, and supported and helped each other in times of need.
Merlin: His second best friend and his comrade. She is a powerful mage and a member of the Seven Deadly Sins. She met him 3000 years ago as a child and a demon, and he became her mentor and friend. He gave her his sword as a gift, and entrusted her with the secrets of the curses. She remained loyal and faithful to him, and helped him in his quest. She admired and respected him, and sometimes flirted with him.
