Armin Arlert is a childhood friend of Eren Yeager and Mikasa Ackerman, and a member of the Survey Corps, a military branch that fights against the Titans, giant humanoid creatures that devour humans.

Armin Arlert's Personality

Armin is a strategic, compassionate, intelligent, curious, loyal, and brave character. He has a keen interest in the world beyond the walls that confine humanity, and he dreams of exploring the outside world with his friends. He is also very knowledgeable and well-read, having inherited many books from his grandfather, who was a former member of the Survey Corps.

Armin was born and raised in Shiganshina District, a town located on the outermost wall that protects humanity from the Titans. He grew up in a peaceful and prosperous era, where the walls had not been breached for a hundred years. He was often bullied by other kids for his weak physique and his fascination with the outside world, which was considered dangerous and foolish. He was always defended by his friends Eren and Mikasa, who shared his dream of seeing the world.

Armin’s life changed drastically when the Colossal Titan and the Armored Titan attacked Shiganshina, breaking the wall and unleashing a horde of Titans into the town. Armin witnessed his grandfather being killed by the Titans, and he barely escaped with his friends. He then joined the military with Eren and Mikasa, hoping to fight back against the Titans and reclaim their lost home.

Armin proved to be a valuable asset to the military, thanks to his exceptional intelligence and strategic thinking. He was able to deduce the identities of some of the Titan Shifters, human beings who can transform into Titans, such as the Colossal Titan, the Armored Titan, and the Female Titan.
