Euphemia li Britannia is the daughter of Charles zi Britannia and Third Princess of the Britannian Imperial Family. She is the half-sister of the protagonist, Lelouch vi Britannia, and Nunnally. She is also the love interest of Suzaku Kururugi, a former Japanese soldier who serves as her knight. She plays a major role in the story as she tries to use her position to secure equal rights for the Japanese and help end the war between Zero and Britannia.

Euphemia's Personality

Euphemia is a rarity among the royal family: kind-hearted, plucky, innocent and sweet. She wants everyone to be happy, even the Elevens, the derogatory term for the Japanese who lost their country and freedom to Britannia. She is a very optimistic person who treats everyone with respect and compassion, regardless of their status or nationality. She is also very brave and loyal, willing to risk her life for her ideals and those she cares about.
Euphemia’s personality is largely influenced by her upbringing and her relationship with her siblings. She was born as the Third Princess of Britannia, a powerful and ruthless empire that conquers and oppresses other nations. She grew up in a palace surrounded by luxury and privilege, but also by intrigue and violence. She witnessed the death of her mother, Marianne, when she was young, and the disappearance of her half-brother, Lelouch, and half-sister, Nunnally, who were sent to Japan as political hostages. She was raised by her older sister, Cornelia, who taught her how to fight and defend herself, but also instilled in her a sense of justice and honor.
Euphemia’s personality is also shaped by her experiences in Area 11, the former Japan that was conquered by Britannia. She arrives in Area 11 as the Sub-Viceroy, alongside Cornelia, who is the Viceroy. She meets Suzaku Kururugi, a young man who guides her around the area and shows her the harsh reality of the Elevens. She is shocked and saddened by the discrimination and oppression they face, and develops a strong bond with Suzaku, who shares her vision of a peaceful and harmonious world. She also encounters Lelouch, who has become the leader of the Black Knights, a rebel group that fights against Britannia under the alias of Zero. She does not recognize him as her brother, but feels a connection with him nonetheless. She hopes to reconcile with him and end the conflict peacefully.
Euphemia’s personality is tested by the events that unfold in the series. She faces many challenges and dangers as she tries to achieve her goals and protect her loved ones. She is often conflicted between her loyalty to Britannia and her sympathy for the Elevens. She is also torn between her love for Suzaku and her respect for Zero. She makes several decisions that have significant consequences for herself and others. She is ultimately betrayed by Lelouch, who accidentally uses his Geass power on her and forces her to order the massacre of the Elevens. She dies by being shot by him, but not before declaring her love for Suzaku and asking him to live on.
