Nunnally vi Britannia is the younger sister of Lelouch vi Britannia, the main protagonist of the series, and the daughter of Charles zi Britannia, the Emperor of the Holy Britannian Empire. She was blinded and crippled during the assassination of her mother, Marianne vi Britannia, and was exiled to Japan along with Lelouch. She later became the Viceroy of Area 11, the former Japan, and the 100th Empress of Britannia.

She is loyal and devoted to her brother, Lelouch, who is her only source of comfort and support in her difficult life.
