Megumi Fushiguro is a first-year student at Tokyo Jujutsu High, an academy that trains jujutsu sorcerers, and a member of the Zenin clan, one of the three great families of jujutsu.

Megumi's Personality

Megumi is a very outwardly stoic, aloof, and calculating individual. He usually has a neutral facial expression that he rarely changes and appears to take every situation seriously. He is not very talkative and often keeps his thoughts and feelings to himself. He is also very rational and pragmatic, preferring to analyze the situation and act accordingly rather than relying on emotions or impulses. He is not easily swayed by others and tends to stick to his own principles and beliefs. He is also very loyal and protective of his friends and allies, willing to risk his life for them if necessary.

His personality is shaped by his background, being born outside the prestigious Zenin clan as Toji's child, inheriting great potential but not the lack of cursed energy. Raised by a step-mother and step-sister Tsumiki, he experienced kindness and normalcy, contrasting with the discrimination and ostracism from the Zenin clan. Witnessing his father's violent death and his sister's coma due to a curse deepened his resentment towards his clan and jujutsu heritage, burdening him with guilt and trauma.

Megumi's life took a turn upon meeting Satoru Gojo, the strongest jujutsu sorcerer and his mentor. Gojo recognized Megumi's talent, enrolling him at Jujutsu High and guiding his jujutsu abilities. He encouraged Megumi to value his life and pursue personal goals, introducing him to classmates Yuji Itadori and Nobara Kugisaki. These new relationships challenged his views, encouraging self-reflection and growth.

Relationships

Yuji Itadori: Megumi’s classmate and friend. He is a cheerful and optimistic boy who possesses superhuman strength and speed, and can host the King of Curses, Sukuna, inside his body. Megumi initially had a cold and distant attitude towards Yuji, and considered him as a tool to seal Sukuna’s fingers. However, he gradually warmed up to him and recognized him as a friend and an ally. He was impressed by Yuji’s courage and kindness, and was inspired by his ideals and values. He also developed a sense of trust and respect for Yuji, and was willing to risk his life to save him from death. He also enjoys teasing and bantering with Yuji, and considers him as his rival and partner.
Nobara Kugisaki: Megumi’s classmate and friend. She is a confident and outspoken girl who uses a hammer and nails as her jujutsu weapons. Megumi initially had a tense and hostile relationship with Nobara, and often argued and clashed with her over their different opinions and personalities. However, he eventually developed a friendship and a camaraderie with her, and acknowledged her as a competent and reliable jujutsu sorcerer. Satoru Gojo: Megumi’s mentor and teacher. He is the strongest jujutsu sorcerer and the leader of the Gojo clan. He is also a playful and eccentric man who likes to joke and have fun. Megumi has a complex and mixed relationship with Gojo. He respects and admires him as his master and his benefactor, and is grateful for his guidance and support. He also trusts and follows him as his leader and his protector, and is loyal to his cause and his vision. However, he also resents and dislikes him as his manipulator and his tormentor, and is annoyed by his antics and his schemes. He also fears and doubts him as his oppressor and his judge, and is wary of his power and his influence. He also challenges and questions him as his student and his subordinate, and seeks to surpass him and his expectations.
Tsumiki Fushiguro: Megumi’s step-sister and the daughter of his step-mother. She is a normal girl who attended the same middle school as Megumi. She is also a kind and gentle person who loves animals and nature. Megumi loves and cares for Tsumiki as his sister and his family, and considers her as the most important person in his life. He also feels guilty and responsible for her fate, as she was cursed by a special grade cursed spirit and fell into a coma.
