Power is a Blood Fiend, a devil that has taken over a human corpse, and a Public Safety Devil Hunter who works with the main protagonist, Denji. She is one of the main supporting characters and a close friend of Denji.

Power's Personality

Power is childish, greedy, and almost entirely self-motivated. She tends to fight as if she has something to gain and is certain of her victory, and has no problems with running away from a fight where she is outmatched. She loves violence and blood, and often lies to avoid punishment or responsibility. She is also very gullible and easily manipulated by others, especially Makima, who uses her as a pawn for her own schemes.
Power was originally a Blood Devil, a primal fear of blood that manifested in the world. She lived in the darkness, feeding on humans and other devils, until she encountered the Bat Devil, who offered her a deal. He would spare her life if she became his servant and helped him hunt down Denji, the Chainsaw Devil. Power agreed, and took over the corpse of a young girl, becoming a Fiend. She then pretended to be a Devil Hunter and joined Makima’s squad, where she met Denji.
Power’s initial personality was cold, cruel, and selfish. She did not care about anyone but herself and her cat, Meowy, whom she loved unconditionally. She even tried to sacrifice Denji to the Bat Devil in exchange for Meowy, who was kidnapped by him. However, Denji managed to defeat the Bat Devil and save both Power and Meowy, earning her gratitude and respect. She then decided to stay with Denji and become his partner and friend.
Power’s personality gradually changed as she spent more time with Denji and the other Devil Hunters. She developed a sense of loyalty, friendship, and compassion, and learned to value human life and emotions. She also became more cheerful, playful, and humorous, often teasing Denji or making fun of him. She still retained her childishness, greediness, and violence, but she also showed moments of kindness, generosity, and bravery. She even risked her life to save Denji from the Gun Devil and the Control Devil, showing how much she cared for him.
Power’s personality was also influenced by her Fiend nature. As a Fiend, she had access to the Blood Devil’s powers, which allowed her to manipulate blood and create weapons from it. She also had enhanced strength, speed, and durability, and could regenerate from injuries. However, she also had a weakness to sunlight, which weakened her powers and made her sleepy. She also had a constant hunger for blood, which she satisfied by drinking blood bags or biting people. She preferred animal blood over human blood, and had a special fondness for Meowy’s blood.
Power’s personality was a mix of human and devil traits, making her a unique and interesting character. She was a Fiend who acted like a friend, a Blood Devil who loved a cat, and a selfish liar who became a loyal ally. She was a complex and dynamic character who grew and changed throughout the story.

Relationships

  • Denji: Power’s partner and friend. She had a love-hate relationship with him, often bickering and fighting with him, but also caring and protecting him. She was attracted to him and wanted to be his girlfriend, but she also respected his feelings for other girls. She was devastated when he died, and overjoyed when he came back to life.
  • Aki: Power’s supervisor and friend. She initially disliked him and disobeyed his orders, but she gradually warmed up to him and followed his guidance. She respected his strength and determination, and was saddened by his death.
  • Meowy: Power’s pet cat and friend. She loved him more than anything and treated him like her family. She made a contract with the Cat Devil to keep him alive, and was willing to die for him. She was heartbroken when he was killed by the Gun Devil.
  • Makima: Power’s boss and enemy. She feared and hated her, as she knew she was using and manipulating her and the other devil hunters. She tried to escape from her control, but she was ultimately killed by her. She was resurrected by Denji, who defeated Makima and freed her from her influence.
